Truro 'In The Mix' After Comfortable Away Victory

Truro City ended 2017 on the perfect note with a comfortable victory at Poole Town that pushed them back into the promotion pack.

A Tyler Harvey double and Cody Cooke goal, all in the second half, saw the White Tigers leave Dorset with a 3-0 victory.

The three points have moved Truro back up to sixth in the exciting National League South and they sit just three points adrift of leaders Dartford.

Delighted boss Lee Hodges told the club’s website: “As a 90-minute performance, this was probably our best away display of the season.

“It’s always a tricky place to come and in difficult conditions, the lads worked hard and stuck to their task to earn the victory.

“It was a well-deserved win and I can’t praise the lads highly enough. We’re well and truly in the mix now and that was the aim at the start of the season.

“To end the year getting three points in the manner we did was brilliant. We’ll enjoy it tonight and then prepare correctly for the return fixture on New Year’s Day at Treyew Road.”
