The White Tigers Need To Get Their Teeth Into Welling

Truro City manager Lee Hodges has demanded a good start from his side this weekend.

The White Tigers play host to Welling United and a productive first day performance is required.

Hodges feels the Vanarama National League South will again be competitive ahead on Saturday's first day.

"It’s good that we are able to start the new season on home soil," he said. "We want to make our home games count and ensure that this is a difficult place for opponents to come to.

"I want to see us hit the ground running on Saturday and put in a battling performance that will yield all three points.

"It won’t be easy, of course. There have been a lot of changes at Welling United since the end of last season and with a new manager at the helm, they will provide a tricky first challenge for us.

"For us it’s about going out there and doing ourselves proud. We want to get as many points on the board as possible in these early weeks in order to give us something to build upon in what is going to be a highly competitive League this year."
