The Draw For The FA Cup First Round Has Been Made

By Sam Elliott

The wait is over as the remaining 22 National League clubs tonight discovered their FA Cup first round fate.

The draw for the next round has been made and as expected it has thrown up some mouthwatering ties.

It has never been so important to be involved in the famous competition - with £22,629 up for grabs for the winners.

The big matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday November 7 and November 8 after the draw was made in London, with coverage coming from Chorley’s Victory Park.

Tonbridge Angels are through to this stage for the first time since 1972 - and their reward is a huge home game against former Premier League side Bradford City.

Chorley face the 2013 winners Wigan, while National League promotion hopefuls Bromley and Yeovil cross swords.

Gary Neville takes on Jeff Stelling as Salford City welcome in-form Hartlepool United.

Blackpool - the 1953 winners - face a coast-to-coast trip to Eastbourne Borough, as AFC Fylde go to Exeter.

Hampton face Oldham two years on from their last meeting when they endured late heartache, and Oxford City have League One's Northampton Town.

Matt Jarvis is happy with Woking's draw, away to his former club Gillingham.

Eastleigh host troubled MK Dons and Havant & Waterlooville will need to avoid an upset themselves - they welcome Cray Valley PM, who came from 2-0 down to beat Maidenhead at the weekend.
