Tension, A Live TNT Sports Game And Big FA Trophy Ties, Too!

By Sam Elliott

There’s three weeks to go and Saturday could help shape so much - including who heads to the FA Trophy final.

Three of our clubs are one tie from Wembley and take a break from league action to try and book their place at the national stadium.

They all want to make it an Arch double as they aim to make it there a few weeks after for the Promotion Final. Bromley welcome Solihull Moors with Gateshead coming up against Macclesfield in a super semi-final line up.

We’re now galloping into the final furlong of the National League campaign - and there’s critical matches everywhere you look.

The TNT Sports cameras will capture possibly the biggest of the lot with the focus on both ends of the table.

Kidderminster, boosted by becoming the first team to win at champions Chesterfield this season, now need to follow it up - there’s a visit from FC Halifax Town, who are two points outside the play-off places.

It’s not the only game with interest at either end. Dorking Wanderers will be all-but relegated if they are defeated by Altrincham.

There’s a mega match down the bottom and after Boreham Wood made a big decision to part ways with Luke Garrard at the end of the season, they know they have it lift the gloom by beating Wealdstone - who sit nervously perched on the other side of the dreaded dotted line.

A cluster of clubs know they can be on the road to safety with a positive weekend. Ebbsfleet, who have lost just once under Danny Searle in ? matches, host AFC Fylde. The Coasters need one more victory to avoid the drop.

Woking still have work to do but victory at home to Dagenham & Redbridge will go a long way to completing their survival mission.

York City will be almost there if they can win against Eastleigh, who also sit on 50 points and can see the finishing line in sight. Maidenhead United take a five point cushion into a home game with Barnet looking to all-but secure safety.

Aldershot Town boss Tommy Widdrington doesn’t want his team to miss the play-off boat after recent stutters. They will be back on track if they win in Hartlepool.

When quizzed about his team’s top seven chances, Oldham Athletic manager Micky Mellon said he is just focused on ending the season strongly. A win in the 12.30pm kick-off against Rochdale keeps the flame flickering.
