Tamworth Are The Champions On A Crucial Afternoon

We have National League North champions - as the race hots up to be staying in their new division next season.

Tamworth got their champagne moment after a 1-1 draw with Warrington meant they couldn’t be caught.

But for Yeovil Town, the wait goes on. An Ollie Pearce inspired Worthing spoiled the party at Huish Park but a point against Truro City on Thursday gets them over the line.

The FA Trophy final will be contested by Solihull Moors and Gateshead after both won their ties earlier today.

It was another brilliant day in the National League as a number of sides put hands on safety - and the race for the play-offs heats up.

Meanwhile in the National League South, Havant & Waterlooville are all but down after Dartford won to give themselves hope. Ollie Box got what could turn out to be a huge winner.

Torquay United are two points above the drop zone after a 1-0 loss at Welling United.

Farnborough’s brilliant run is over. They couldn’t make it eight wins in a row after Maidstone left with a 1-0 victory, Raphe Brown got the decisive goal.

Chelmsford City’s nine men eventually conceded to Slough Town, the 1-1 draw means Yeovil can win the title with one more win.

Tom Blackwell have Braintree Town the points at Weston while it was a good day for Eastbourne Borough, who boosted their survival hopes, and Chippenham Town after their victory at St Albans City.
