Stones Switch for Evans

Jack Evans has confirmed his move to Vanarama National League newcomers Maidstone United from former Natioanl League South rivals Eastbourne Borough.

The 23-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, began his football career as a youth with Gillingham, making it through to the first-team under Andy Hessenthaler and Nicky Southall.

After loan spells with Lewes, Welling United, Corby Town and Dartford, he signed for Tamworth and played a season in the Conference (National League) – making thirty-seven appearances.

A move back down south saw him link up with Sutton United at the start of the 2014/15 campaign and from there he joined Eastbourne in January 2015.

During his time with the Sussex club he made more than forty-five appearances and featured in the two games against the Stones last season.
