Six More Commit to Clarets

By Steve Whitney

Six more of Rod Stringer’s squad put pen-to-paper to play at Vanarama National League South club Chelmsford City this coming season.

Having already committed themselves to City, Joe Welch, Daniel Blanchett, Lee Sawyer, Harry Morgan, Frank Merrifield and Shamir Mullings all completed paperwork to make their stays official.

They join fellow Clarets, Hugo Skepelhorn, Sheldon Sellears, Luke Daley, Max Cornhill, Ashley Miller, Mark Haines, Anthony Church, Billy Bricknell and Adam Bailey-Dennis who have all signed in recent weeks.

With the players now back to work for the start of pre-season, the countdown is now on to City’s first pre-season friendly on July 7th against Ryman League Division One North side Heybridge Swifts.

By then the Clarets will know who they will face in their opening game of the 2016/17 season with the fixture lists being released the day before.
