Salford Are Going Up With A National League Feel!

Salford City may now be an EFL club but they are going up with the Joneses.

They have signed two players from the division they won promotion from as they prepare for League Two.

Barrow defender Dan Jones, 24, joins the Ammies after an impressive season.

So does Eastleigh midfielder Joey Jones, who impressed against them three times last season.

Dan Jones told the club’s website: “I’m delighted to be here, I can’t wait to get going with this club.

“The ambition the club has, you saw last year with the promotion, they fought hard to eventually get up and got over the finish line.

“I think there’s no stopping it now, I think we can go and do it again and I think everyone around the club wouldn’t think that’s impossible to do.”

Joey Jones, the former Woking player, said: “I believe the club’s got ambitions to get into League One and get into the play-offs this year so I think that’s got to be the target again this year, to see if we can go again.”
