Saints Are In The Saddle As They Raise £62,000 For Charity

A team of St Albans City cyclists have raise £62,000 for Prostate Cancer after getting on their bikes to help kick the disease into touch.

The supporters joined former Arsenal striker Alan Smith as they donned the lycra for charity.

The Football 2 Amsterdam ride took place over the past few days and there was no stopping them once they got onto the saddle.

National League South St Albans were very well represented - unmissable in yellow and blue as they took on the 400 mile trek.

Their aim was to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer and they certainly didn’t let anyone down.

TV pundit Smith paid tribute to his fellow Saints as they touched down in Holland and enjoyed a well earned drink.

Smith can often be found watching the Hertfordshire side, his local club, and said: “It was a magnificent effort” as they raised well over £60,000.
