Radcliffe Win Sees North Relegation Matters Settled

By Sam Elliott

Radcliffe’s victory over Farsley Celtic last night completed the National League North relegation picture.

The 2-1 success ensured their survival - and Needham Market cannot mathematically catch any team above the bottom four.

The Marketmen’s stay was a brief one, and they are set to return to the Southern League Premier Central, a league they won a year ago.

With three games to go, we already know the four sides relegated.

Farsley were the first team to say goodbye after a torrid second half of the season saw the club go down at the start of April.

Next to go were Warrington Town, who ended their two year stay a fortnight ago.

It was also too big a job for Rushall Olympic, relegated after being beaten by Needham Market last weekend.

We wish all four clubs the best of luck next season and hope to see them again soon!
