Points And FA Trophy Prizes Up For Grabs On Big Afternoon

By Sam Elliott

There were plenty of big points earned on the day the FA Trophy final four made themselves known.

FC Halifax Town, Gateshead, Barnet and Altrincham all go through and find out who they face on Monday.

That meant a reduced National League programme but Wrexham weren’t to be distracted.

The leaders beat the snow and Southend United to win for a 17th time in 18 home games.

An own goal from Steve Arnold settled it at the Racecourse.

Notts County won’t let it go. Macaulay Langstaff hit his 34th and 35th goals of the season as they beat Dorking Wanderers 3-1 in the live BT Sport game.

Eastleigh keep on winning - another great Danny Whitehall goal defeated in-form Oldham Athletic.

It was another Saturday to remember for Micah Obiero and Wealdstone, pictured, after their late win at Torquay United added to the hosts’ problems.

There was no such issues for Woking, a goal in each half from Padraig Amond and Luke Wilkinson eased them to the points at home to Maidenhead United.

Ryan Law earned Yeovil Town what could be a big point at Chesterfield after Paul McCallum penalty put the hosts ahead.

It was a good day for AFC Fylde in the National League North - eventually.

The Coasters won 3-2 against Darlington, Joe Rowley got the winning goal.

Rivals King’s Lynn Town couldn’t beat Kidderminster despite another goal from Gold Omotayo.

Chester didn’t manage to grab another win but a 0-0 draw at Leamington was well earned and not to be sniffed at.

Hayden Campbell got two as Curzon cruised past Brackley to all but end their title hopes.

George Cooper earned Kettering Town a point in a 3-3 thriller against Chorley.

Boston United we’re brilliant as they blew Blyth away and it was a good day for Gloucester City, Spennymoor and Buxton.

National League South leaders Ebbsfleet had to make do with a point at Tonbridge after Scott Wagstaff’s leveller.

Dartford won 3-1 against Farnborough, Luke Coulson was among the scorers.

Jamie Collins didn’t get the start he wanted as Havant & Waterlooville went down 2-1 late at Dulwich Hamlet after George Porter’s winner.

Josh Parker got two a Oxford City strolled to the win at Hemel Hempstead.

Elsewhere Slough Town beat Hungerford 4-0, and Concord Rangers and Bath City and Eastbourne all bagged big away day wins.
