Alexander has years of experience across the Premier League and EFL and spent 26 years as CEO of Crystal Palace where he was named Premier League CEO of the Year at the Football Business Awards.
Prior to joining Palace Phil spent 3 years at Swindon Town having joined from Bracknell Town where has was team and general manager.
He left Selhurst Park in the summer of 2022 after a successful spell including three promotions to the Premier League before moving on to roles as Senior Advisor at Wycombe Wanderers and most recently CEO at Bristol City.
National League Chairman Jack Pearce MBE said: “We are very pleased to have secured someone of Phil’s stature and calibre in the game.
“His time in football has been spent at the highest level and I am confident his years of experience and knowledge will be of benefit to the League and our Clubs.”
Alexander said: “I am delighted to take up this interim role and I look forward to working with the Board and the Clubs in driving the League both nationally and locally, within its own communities.”
Phil will take up his position on the 27th May 2025.
