Our 32 FA Cup Contenders Brace For Big Weekend

By Sam Elliott

The FA Cup adventure continues on Saturday with 32 of our sides heading into battle again - and things are already getting serious!

The National League clubs await in the next round of course, with the draw made on Monday.

But before all that the quest to get into the hat sees banana skins a plenty as well as some same-division duels. There’s a live game to throw into the mix as well.

The third round qualifying game between Leek Town and South Shields will be available to watch live via the BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website. Julio Arca’s team are flying high in the National League North - and know they are there to be shot at!

The league’s leaders Tamworth face a tricky trip to Coalville Town while National League South table toppers Bath City will need a better display in this round as they head to Weymouth, who pushed AFC Wimbledon all the way last season.

Billericay Town host St Albans City, who have enjoyed recent good runs while there’s a coastal collision as Worthing face Whitehawk.

There is sure to be a big crowd as Darlington host Scarborough Athletic while Winchester City will hope Maidstone Unite have used all their goals up by the time they arrive this weekend.

It’s South vs North as Braintree Town welcome Brackley Town while Hemel Hempstead Town must be in their guard at Isthmian League North Gorleston. Chelmsford City have reason to be wary at Bromsgrove while Lewe fancy an upset again Hampton & Richmond Borough

The winners receive a cheque for £5,625, with defeated clubs also going home with £1,875.
