New league, new kit for Brown's boys!

By David Watters

Newly promoted Margate have launched their official home kit only days before making their debut in the Vanarama National League South.

Manufactured by Italian-based company Givova, the Kent club's shirt incorporates the traditional blue from their badge with a white trim to the sleeve.

Margate, promoted via the Ryman Premier play-offs in May, say the club’s chevron is emblazoned across the front of the shirt and also features on their yellow away kit.

Officials say the kit, which is now on sale for fans, is unique to Margate after being produced by sublimation printing.

In a statement announcing the new strip's unveiling, Margate's chief executive Chris Pope described it as "a classic yet modern design”.

Margate manager Terry Brown is currently preparing his squad to take on Truro City at Hartsdown Park when the new season kicks off on Saturday.
