National League South: Your Easter Monday Preview

By Sam Elliott

Hold on to your hats, there’s a traumatic landing coming after a National League South season full of turbulence.

Two games to go and, incredibly, two points separate the top five teams.

It is still anyone’s title to win - and you guessed it, more of the contenders meet on Bank Holiday Monday!

There’s only one place to start as new leaders Worthing welcome Dorking Wanderers, up to fourth after midfielder Charlie Carter inspired Marc White's men to their win against Hampton.

After their success at then table toppers Truro City on the same day, Torquay United will really fancy their chances now - especially if they can win at home to already down Weymouth.

John Askey’s Tinners know they really need to bounce back but a trip to Weston-super-Mare will be far from straight forward with the Seagulls knowing only a win will do if they’re to get into the play-offs.

Eastbourne Borough are just two points off the title pace but have four teams to jump over after their failure to beat ten man Worthing. They go to Salisbury looking to stay in it until the final day.

The Whites have their own agenda - a win would put them in touching distance of survival.

That would spell bad news for St Albans City, who know they need to beat Hemel Hempstead at Clarence Park and hope for some help elsewhere. They are three points shy of safety with two games to go.

There’s plenty riding on the game at Meadow Park. Boreham Wood are almost there when it comes to securing a play-off place and Enfield Town need one point to confirm a second season in the National League South.
