Morrell Pleased With Complete Performance

Tamworth gained their second win of the season after defeating Boston United 2-1.

Tamworth boss Andy Morrell says his side deserved their victory at home against Boston United after they defeated the ten man side, writes Tom Feaheny.

Speaking to the club's website after that victory Morrell spoke about how happy he was.

"I thought it was a bright and even start, we started to get the upper-hand and then the penalty and red card, we were patient with our play and got our goal."

He added: "It was important that we showed the right attitude, we didn't rush or panic, we knew if we played like we did, with the middle two midfielder being a class above we knew we could cause them problems."

Another pleased thing for Morrell was Darryl Knights getting his first of the season and the manager says it is something he deserves.

"He's hit the post at Leamington, I am really pleased for him, he got his goal, he is now off the mark and that is good to see, he has been bright for us."

They next face Curzon Ashton in another home game as they look to get more points on the board and get back to back wins, Morrell knows it will be another battle for his side.

"Curzon are a good footballing team, we know it will be tough, but we know how important are home form will be, we are looking forward to it."
