Moore: Beach Boys Have Many More Gears To Find!

Sammy Moore thinks his Concord Rangers side have even more quality than they have already shown this season, writes Tom Scott.

After their latest win – a 4-0 triumph over Hungerford Town – the Beach Boys sit second in the league and are unbeaten in five.

“I don’t think we played particularly well and we’ve got loads more in the tank,” Moore told the club’s YouTube channel.

“I gave the boys a challenge before the game to stay top of the league and to win the game before half-time and the boys answered that."

Moore added, “We were ruthless in front of goal, we started well as we wanted to, and the most pleasing thing is another clean sheet. It just shows that we’re hard to beat and we’ve got real winners in that dressing room.

“In terms of togetherness, this is probably the best group I’ve ever put together. The desire to win and to keep the ball out of our net is incredible.

“We’re going to take it to the next level and you see the team out there committed to getting the three points – we were ruthless, but we still had four gears to go, we only got in first gear today.”
