Mitch Wants Macc To Make Up For Their Stones Roll Over

Mitch Hancox says their entire Macclesfield squad are determined to right the wrongs of last weekend.

The Silken unraveled in front of their own fans' eyes at Moss Rose as they went down 4-1 to Maidstone United. Watch Highlights Here.

Hancox says there's been some soul searching done this week and the Macc players are ready to set the record straight at Torquay United.

But to ruin Gary Owers' first game at Plainmoor, the Town defender knows the players must press the re-start button.

He said: "It's been frustrating that when we start to get a few wins together that we have a set back and have to start again.

"We need to be ruthless if we want to achieve our targets for the season and in games when things aren't going right grind out them a result."

What went wrong against Maidstone? Everything says manager John Askey. Hancox finds it hard to disagree.

"It was a bad performance from us, we wasn't at the high standards we set ourselves and Maidstone played well and deserved to win," he said.

"The only positive from the game was Koby Arthur coming on and scoring his first goal for the club. The whole squad wants to put it right for Saturday against Torquay and get back to winning ways.

"It will be a tough game although Torquay are struggling at the moment with a new manager coming in their players will want to impress him and raise their game.

"But if we stick to our game plan and play the football we have shown this season we will be OK."
