Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has joined Vanarama National League North club....

...Stockport County from Barclays Premier League giants Manchester United on an initial one month`s loan.

The deal can be extended further, although there may be a recall if the player is required for United's Europa League campaign.

The 18-year-old Cumbrian joined the Reds as a 14-year-old from Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee.

He spent six years with Carlisle after initially starting as an outfield player.

During his time at Brunton Park he attracted scouts from Chelsea and Newcastle United with his performances.

An England Youth international, he is rated as an outstanding prospect and was tracked by United since the tender age of 10.

He impressed throughout 2014/15 and was shortlisted for United's young player of the year award. Unfortunately, his season was cut short by injury towards the end of the campaign, but he has returned to full fitness and signed an extension to his United deal last summer.

At 6`2”, he provides a commanding presence behind his defence, as well as offering excellent distribution. He kept eleven clean sheets last season in twenty-five appearances.

Henderson will be available to make his County debut in Saturday's home clash with Nuneaton Town.
