...defender Joe Gorman from League of Ireland side Drogheda United
Gorman joined Drogheda from league rivals Bray Wanderers exactly a year ago.
The 21-year-old, who can play at centre-back or left-back, joins the Magpies with considerable experience having previously had spells at both Crewe Alexandra and Scottish Premiership outfit Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
