Each gameweek, The National League's official betting partner LV BET provides the lowdown of the key matches across the Vanarama National League. Find out all you need to know ahead of Matchday 14.

Dover Athletic vs. FC Halifax Town

All eyes will be on the Kent coast on Saturday to see if either of these strong starters can keep up the heat at the top.

Few expected FC Halifax Town or Dover Athletic to be breathing down the leaders’ necks 13 matches into the new season.

Dover were of course second from bottom at this time last season but are now fifth, four points off the the top.

Despite indifferent form in the past fortnight, FC Halifax are also doing a lot better than most expected - they have slipped nicely into second and have eyes on promotion.

Dover have won two of the last three and have suffered just one defeat in six - they also have seven-goal Inih Effiong leading the line.

Halifax, after stuttering with three losses in four, have won five of their last eight National League matches.
