LV Bet Big Preview: National League Promotion Final

By Sam Elliott

It's the game none of us can wait for - and even fewer can predict!

Now betting partners LV Bet preview Sunday's Vanarama National League Promotion Final between Harrogate Town and Notts County.

Both the favourites won their play-off semi-final matches making home advantage count, so it’s 2nd v 3rd in the promotion final this weekend at Wembley.

Harrogate beat Boreham Wood by a single goal, however their fans will argue that they should have made it more comfortable than the result showed.

Top scorer Jack Muldoon scored the winner and will be eager to add to his goal tally in the biggest game of the season. Defensively Simon Weaver's side looked strong - they will go into the final full of confidence.

Notts County head to north west London after winning all of their last 5 competitive matches.

Before the National League was stopped, the Magpies were in fine form winning 4 in a row - and then came a convincing win over Barnet last weekend.

The home side opened the scoring with a top header from Kristian Dennis, who enjoyed playing against Harrogate after scoring both goals in the only clash between the sides during the season.

The goal of the play-off semi-finals came from County’s quick winger Callum Roberts and both Dennis and Roberts are the danger men that Town have to keep quiet if they are going to get promoted.

Harrogate are looking for their first taste of the Football League while for Notts County it’s a case of wanting to bounce back at the first attempt.

It’s going to be a tense 90 minutes of football at the home of football.
