Look Who's Back! Holt Gets His Boots Back On Again

By Sam Elliott

Grant Holt retired from the game back in August, but the former Barrow striker doesn’t appear to be able to give up playing just yet!

The ex-Norwich City star has been turning out for Wroxham in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division.

The 37-year-old made a scoring debut for the Yachtsmen in Saturday’s Norfolk Senior Cup win over Fakenham.

He said goodbye to the game after leaving Holker Street but the lure of hitting the back of the net has proved too strong!

He announced back in August: "Due to me committing to both roles, I've decided the time has come to hang my boots up.

"I would like to thank every fan at all my teams over my career for the amazing support you all gave me.

"I would also like to thank every fan that slagged me off, shouted at me and booed when I touched the ball because without you it would not have been as fun.

"Thank you to everyone behind the scenes that I met along the way, you know who you are."
