Leesley Leads The Way With National Lg North Award

You know you have a good player on your hands when, before the busy festive season has begun, he’s managed to grab ten league goals from midfield.
It was a close run challenge for the accolade, but the 24-year-old is the Vanarama National North League Player of the Year, as voted for by fellow member clubs.
Attentions now turn to the play-offs for Leesley and co, where one match stands between them and a place in the Promotion Final.
His manager Simon Weaver describes him as “a very special talent” and Leesley’s eye for the spectacular saw him settle in Yorkshire and win over the fans instantly.
Now those supporters are wondering if he has another honour to earn as Town get set for the play-offs.
Goals at home to Darlington and AFC Telford United were the standouts as Leesley converted 14 times.
