Jones Impressed By Quality Of Signings Made So Far

Oxford City boss Mark Jones believes his side already have real quality with more to come.

The latest recruit is ex Oxford United player Josh Ashby who has had a previous loan spell with City.

He has signed a one-year deal.

With the likes of Craig King, Zac McEachran, and Rob Sinclair already signed for next season, the manager is pleased with the deals done.

"We’re very pleased to get Josh, he’s a good, young, hungry player who wants to progress and wants to do well,” Jones told the club’s website.

“He’s a very good passer of the ball and is technically very good. I think he fits in perfectly for what we want to do as a team.

Jones also revealed there will be more news next week.

"We’re working hard on some other players, we should have news on some other signings.

“We’ve agreed deals in principle with a striker and a left-back, however both these players are currently on holiday and we hope to get these over the line next week."
