Jansen Calls For Even More Progression From Magpies

Chorley boss Matt Jansen says his side losing 2-1 late at Harrogate Town left him feeling a range of different emotions

After playing with ten men for more than a half, a 93rd minute strike by Dom Knowles ensured that the Magpies had yet more play-off frustration, writes Tom Feaheny.

In front of the away fans they took the lead when Josh O'Keefe opened the scoring, a Knowles penalty levelled the game up that looked set for extra-time but it wasn't meant to be.

"We have played six games in 12 days, they have full-time jobs, they are brilliant, warriors. They are such a strong unit and team, Jansen said.

"We have shown a work-rate, a belief and ability, week in week out, we are a fantastic club.

"Keeping on building is key, on and off the pitch we are doing that."

Jansen had this to say on the victors.

"I'm not going to take anything away from Harrogate, they are full-time, they have some good players and play a good way.

"Credit to them, especially first 25 minutes they caused us some problems then we probably scored against the run of play.
