In-Form Pilgrims Still Need To Reach A Whole New Level

Boston United may have got off to a great start, flying high in the early National League North table.

But manager Craig Elliott warned that they must find a lot more if they want to sustain a challenge.

The Pilgrims have begun strongly, and the 2-0 win at Altrincham last weekend was their fourth win from five matches.

This Saturday they host Spennymoor Town looking to put even more pressure on leaders Chorley.

But Elliott has told Lincolnshire Live that although what he has seen has pleased him, he says they have to do more.

“I always expect to win games of football and I think we have gradually improved,” he told the website.

“The good thing is that we are nowhere near where we need to be and hopefully we can continue our improvement.

“Altrincham was our best performance of the season so far. It was really disciplined and it was a classic away performance.

“We defended well, kept them at arm’s length and were clinical in the second half.”
