Hodges Proud As Gutsy Truro Are Narrowly Beaten

Truro City boss Lee Hodges says his side couldn't do any more as they lost to League One Charlton.

The Vanarama National League South side were in the end defeated 3-1 by Charlton Athletic, but took a great deal of credit from the match, writes Tom Feaheny.

My mine feeling is pride, we have faced a team a few leagues above and put in a performance that was great, the fans made it extra special and on another day, who knows" Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We have shown guts and determination and we left everything on the pitch against a very good team.

"It has been a special day for everyone associated with this club, the fans and players all did themselves good, now we must look at the league."
