Hodges Happy As Truro Get Back To Winning Ways

Lee Hodges hopes Truro City’s promotion push is now back on track after ending their poor recent run by stunning the league leaders.

Dartford had no answer to the White Tigers today as they ran out 3-1 winners.

It was just what Truro needed. They have been going through a difficult time, without a National League South win since September 23 and last weekend they were eventually beaten 3-1 by Charlton Athletic.

But they got the win they badly needed and after leading the table in September, City hope this was a sign of things to come.

"There were good performances all over the pitch,” said the manager Hodges.

“The boys did their jobs and gave me everything out there against a very good side. We've set some high standards.”

Striker Cody Cooke told the club’s social media team that they way the team started the game was incredible.

“The opening 20 minutes was one of the best performances that I have been involved with here,” said Cooke, who scored the club’s second goal.

“We got what we deserved as we built on the momentum that we have gained.”
