He's Brad All Over! Title Winner Lee Is Daggers' Pick

Lee Bradbury is the man Dagenham & Redbridge have selected to attempt to return the club to the National League.

The Daggers were relegated on the final day of last season, before days later parting company with head coach Lewis Young.

They wanted a manager with National League South promotion winning experience and picked Bradbury, who took Havant & Waterlooville to the title in 2018.

The 49-year-old says he can’t wait to get down to work and after helping take Port Vale up to League One last month, he is keen for more.

“I am both proud and excited to become the manager of this excellent club and look forward to getting to work straight away,” he said.

A Daggers statement confirmed: “Dagenham & Redbridge FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Lee Bradbury as the club’s first team manager.

“He arrives at Victoria Road with a wealth of managerial experience and a strong track record across English Football. The former AFC Bournemouth, Eastleigh, and Havant & Waterlooville boss takes the reins ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 National League campaign, with preparations already underway for pre-season.

“Lee spent the 2024/25 season as a first team Coach at Port Vale, who gained promotion from League Two.

“The Board identified Bradbury as the ideal candidate to lead the Daggers into a new era, citing his experience of winning as a manager at this level and working in a number of promoted sides. Throughout the process, Lee displayed a meaningful understanding of what it takes to rebuild the connection between the club and the community.”
