Heed's National League North Game With Chester Off

By Sam Elliott

Chester won’t get the chance to close the gap on National League North leaders York City this weekend.

Their fixture at Gateshead has been postponed due to “adverse weather conditions” in the north east after a Friday morning inspection.

The Heed confirmed in a club statement: “Saturday’s home fixture against Chester has been postponed.

“The Seals were scheduled to face the Heed at the International Stadium at 3pm tomorrow afternoon, but the decision has been taken to postpone the clash following a pitch inspection at the International Stadium this morning.

“A re-arranged date for the fixture will be announced in due course. The postponement means our next fixture will now be away to Altrincham on Tuesday, November 19.”

Keep an eye on the National League website and on twitter for the very latest postponement news.
