Harvey Handed Permanent Shaymen Post

FC Halifax Town have announced that Jim Harvey has become the....

...permanent manager of the Vanarama National League club.

The former Morecambe and Stalybridge Celtic boss has been in caretaker charge since the dismissal of previous manager Darren Kelly, who he was assistant manager to, following the 6-3 home defeat to Braintree Town in November 2015.

Harvey, 57, has since seen the club go unbeaten with three wins and two draws from his five games in charge, including a 4-1 away victory at Gateshead, 4-2 at home to Dover Athletic and 5-0 in the FA Trophy at home to Tamworth.

He has signed a deal with the club until the end of the 2015/16 season.

Harvey takes over with the big Christmas games ahead which sees the Shaymen travel to Sincil Bank on Saturday and then two home games against Wrexham (28th December) and Lincoln City (2nd January).
