Harrogate Make Their First Move In The Transfer Market

Harrogate Town have today begun to prepare for life in the National League by making a signing.

Manager Simon Weaver has made his first move in the transfer market since the club won promotion.

Defender Callum Howe has joined the club from Port Vale.

The talented 24-year-old is a centre half and Weaver says the club need to be prepared for the step up in standard.

He has plenty of experience with Scunthorpe United and with Lincoln City.

Weaver believes the club need to make “three or four” signings as they gear up for next season.

The club were promoted earlier this month when they won the National League North Promotion Final 3-0 against Brackley Town.

Weaver said it was “a great achievement” but was quick to say Harrogate couldn’t afford to stand still after their success.
