Furious Reynolds On The Warpath After Rebels' Slump

Some of FC United of Manchester's players may have played their last game for the club.

That's the view of boss Neil Reynolds after he oversaw his side's 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Nuneaton Borough on Saturday.

Reynolds unleashed his fury after the full-time whistle and says he doesn't trust some of his players to give their all.

"I could’ve burst into tears," he told the club's website.

"I can’t dress it up. It’s my team, my result. I’ll take it and I’m sorry to everybody. I’m not going to hang anyone out to dry but what I will say, going to Darlington next week, I’m not afraid to put the Under-21s in.

"I’m not going to get a reaction out of 30 or 40 percent of them [next week at Darlington] because they’re not going to be here."

Defeat leaves the Rebels six points from safety with five games to go and they now need a huge effort to survive.

And whatever happens, Reynolds left fans in no doubt that he will make it work and shake things up if needs be.

"I’ve signed six or seven of them lads that were out there," he added. "My teams are built on trust and I surround myself with lads I can trust; but there’s no trust.

"If you don’t want to play for the club then off you go because I want to manage the club and if we’ve got to go backwards to come forwards then that will happen.

"I can’t watch people not play for the badge."
