Friday Transfer Round-Up As Starlets Make EFL Switch

The season only officially ended on Sunday but some clubs have wasted little time getting new players through the door.

It’s been a busy week of transfers - here’s a little look at some of the deals to catch the eye.

Sonny Carey has been seen as one of the top young talents in the National League in months gone by, and the King’s Lynn Town man has bagged himself a big move.

Championship newboys Blackpool have won the race and Lynn manager Ian Culverhouse predicts he will make an impression.

“Sonny is going to a good club with a manager who helps improve players - I feel he still has a couple of gears he can go up and wish him all the best with a move he deserves," he said.

He isn’t the only National League youngster securing an EFL switch.

Maidenhead United striker Danilo Orsi has joined Harrogate Town after a fantastic campaign.

After his Promotion Final goal heroics, Port Vale have announced the signing of Torquay United goalkeeper Lucas Covolan.

Notts County have signed Gulls’ centre-back Kyle Cameron.

Dover Athletic have brought striker Ricky Miller back to the club.

The 32-year-old returns for a second spell after he scored 68 times in 101 games for the club before he left to join Peterborough United in 2017. Jason Caton has meanwhile becomes the Whites fourth summer signing.

Chesterfield are showing they could mean business next season.

FC Halifax Town star Jeff King has joined their ranks and manager James Rowe says he couldn’t be happier.

Shaymen boss Pete Wild will also have to work without midfielder Jack Earing who will play for League Two Walsall next term.

York City fans are excited - striker Clayton Donaldson has rejoined the club after 14 years away. They has also added South Shields striker Jason Gilchrist.

Exciting Joe Leesley has rejoined Boston United on a season-long loan from Harrogate, while defender Mark Little is now a Yeovil Town player.

Maidstone United’s Justin Amaluzor has the chance to impress north of the border after he signed for Motherwell.

Ebbsfleet United have added former Wycombe Wanderers defender Sido Jombati.

Notts County have lost midfielder Jake Reeves, he has been paraded as a new signing for Stevenage.

Maidenhead United have signed recent Woking midfielder Kane Ferdinand, while the Cards have added Rohan Ince, who last year pulled on his boots for Alan Devonshire’s Magpies.

Young goalkeeper Bobby Jones has signed for AFC Fylde, while Tonbridge Angels have announced the signing of Ricky Modeste.
