Forest Green Make Striker Signing

....promotion-chasers Forest Green Rovers have announced the signing of Kieffer Moore on a contract until the summer of 2017.

Most recently having featured in the top flight of Norwegian football for Viking FK, the 23-year-old forward is set to bring new firepower up front at The New Lawn, and is an exciting addition to Ady Pennock’s squad.

At 6`5”, the attacker brings with him plenty of presence having burst onto the scene at Yeovil Town as a fresh face back in 2013, following their promotion to the Championship.

Soon after putting pen-to-paper, Moore said: “I’m thrilled to sign. There’s a great manager here and I’ve met him a couple of times and everything he’s told me I’ve just taken it in. It’s a great club and I can’t wait to get started.

“My main objective here is to get promoted. That should be the aim for every player here and that’s definitely my aim.

“I’m excited to be playing at this level and now I am excited to get going.”

Moore started his career at Truro City where his fantastic goalscoring record saw him transfer to then league rivals Dorchester Town in February 2013.

Having ended the 2012/13 season as one of the leading scorers in the National League South, he was snapped up by Championship new boys Yeovil, who paid an undisclosed fee for his services.

Despite finding the back of the net for the Somerset club in clashes with the likes of AFC Bournemouth, Charlton Athletic and Nottingham Forest, he couldn’t stop them from being relegated back into the third tier.

On leaving Yeovil at the end of the 2014/15 campaign, he secured a move to eight-time Norwegian champions Viking.

He represented the Dark Blues in front of capacity crowds against the likes of Rosenborg and Molde, but returned to England at the end of 2015 having been part of a Viking side that finished just outside the Europa League qualification places.
