Tuesday night was packed full of goals and talking points - and a BT Sport thriller.

Southend United twice came from behind to grab a draw with leaders Notts County.

Callum Powell made Luke Williams’ side pay, making it 2-2 in front of the cameras.

Eastleigh are fantastic at home and they thrashed Maidstone United 5-2 to add to their woes down the bottom.

Jamie Cooke was the FC Halifax Town hero as he got the winner to hamper Solihull Moors’ promotion hopes.

Danny Collinge put the seal on Barnet’s 2-0 win Altrincham.

Jamal Fyfield earned Boreham Wood a point in their 1-1 draw at home to York City. Lenell John-Lewis’ early penalty put the visitors ahead.

Yeovil Town couldn’t get the win they needed - they fired blanks in the 0-0 home draw with Maidenhead United.

It’s Darlington who sit proudly on top of the National League North after an electric evening.

The Quakers beat Alfreton Town 3-1, Kaine Felix made the points safe late on.

But for the chasers it wasn’t such a productive night.

Declan Evans displaced Brackley Town, they are off the top after Southport earned a point at Haig Avenue in a 2-2 draw.

King’s Lynn Town were heroic again late on, they may stay third but Gold Omotayo earned a 3-3 draw at Scarborough Athletic - days after he won the FA Cup tie at Doncaster Rovers.

Scott Pollock’s two goals boosted Boston United as Kidderminster Harriers struggle to get their form together.

Kettering Town stunned Hereford 2-0, while Jason Gilchrist was the Buxton hero - they won 1-0 at Gloucester City.

Chorley survived a red card but the job was already done against Spennymoor Town while Banbury and Chester ended level - so did Curzon Ashton vs Leamington.

Ebbsfleet United returned to the top of the National League South as the ever-changing leadership was back in Fleet’s hands.

It was looking ropey for a while - Tommy Wood put Hampton & RB ahead early on.

But Rakish Bingham had other ideas in south west London, he quickly hauled the visitors level before Greg Cundle hit the winner.

There were three thrillers - and they all ended 3-2.

Hemel Hempstead edged out Hungerford, while St Albans were too strong going forward for Weymouth.

There was also an FA Cup hangover for Chippenham Town, who went down 3-2 at Cheshunt.

But two games failed to spark, Farnborough were held 0-0 at home to Eastbourne Borough while both Welling United and Slough Town couldn’t break through either.

Callum Kealy got the Worthing winner as they saw off Oxford City.
