Terras Hit Jackpot With Buildbase Funding Windfall

Weymouth have been served a huge portion of good fortune after securing a £25,000 donation from Buildbase.

The building supplies retailer are the title sponsors of the FA Trophy and FA Vase and ran a competition earlier in the season for participants to bag a share of a £100,000 prize pot to improve their facilities.

The Terras were one of the lucky entrants and now have big plans.

“It’s tremendous that Weymouth FC can win this national award within weeks of securing promotion," said Gareth Jones, who was part of the team who submitted the club's entry.

“It’s a glut of good news, and Weymouth FC is definitely the place to be right now for success and community engagement.

“It’s great that Weymouth FC can now strive to provide the best facilities for disabled supporters and we will be going out to secure more investment in such a brilliant and life changing project.

“This is just the start, but what a start. I am sure that we will be out there in the local community in the next few weeks determined to get everyone possible in the community engaged in something very special.”

The new season isn't far away at all and Weymouth will discover their fixtures next Wednesday 3 July.
