Preview: Saturday's National League North Programme

By Tom Scott

We're down to just seven games in the National League North this week but no shortage of fireworks!

Bradford (Park Avenue) have revealed their plans for the future, and with it their Football League aspirations.

They could at least do their National League aspirations some good with three points against FC United of Manchester.

Chorley lead the way of course, having lost only four times so far. But they've got a job on this weekend when Phil Parkinson brings his Altrincham side to Victory Park with the Robins currently holding the final promotion place.

It's a big one at the bottom for Nuneaton Borough as they hold onto their survival hopes for dear life.

They're already ten points adrift meaning a loss to Curzon Ashton could spell disaster for Jimmy Ginnelly's men.

A win at Kidderminster Harriers is a must for Boston United if they are serious about their play-off ambitions.

Southport
are 11 without defeat in the National League North and they're looking to make it a dozen at home to Leamington - and know a win makes things interesting as they look to go from the bottom three in November to the play-off places in April

It's been testing times at Aggborough recently but stand-ins Jimmy O'Connor and Russ Penn will be hoping to steady the ship.

Chester joint-boss Anthony Johnson said their current injury-crisis is 'like nothing he's ever known'.

With games coming thick and fast, the Blues will be out for a big three points with the visit of Guiseley to the Swansway.

Reece Styche could feature for Alfreton Town against former club Darlington. The Quakers will be hoping their recent upturn in form can help them spoil the party for their ex-frontman.

Saturday's National League North fixtures:
Alfreton Town v Darlington
Bradford (Park Avenue) v FC United of Manchester
Chester v Guiseley
Chorley v Altrincham
Kidderminster Harriers v Boston United
Nuneaton Borough v Curzon Ashton
Southport v Leamington
