National League North Round-up: All Of Today's Action

By Tom Scott

You needn't wait for the Premier League next week for drama - the National League North had plenty this afternoon!

Curzon Ashton gave Garry Thompson a baptism of fire in his first game as Bradford (Park Avenue) boss.

The Nash ran riot and plundered five goals - Isaac Sinclair, Luke Wall, Sean Miller, Olly Thornley and Luke Merrill did the honours.

Farsley Celtic boss Adam Lakeland was confident his side wouldn't be the whipping boys and he stuck to his word.

Last season's top-scorer Jimmy Spencer put the gloss on a fine 3-1 win over Darlington.

York City are fancied by many for the title and they didn't buckle under the pressure - instead despatching Altrincham 3-1 in Greater Manchester.

A new manager but the same old results for Kettering Town who burst onto the scene with a win over AFC Telford.

But it wasn't the dream start for fellow newly-promoted side King's Lynn Town who slumped to a 3-0 reverse at Guiseley.

Gloucester City sit in the top-seven after taking all three points away at Blyth Spartans.

Goalless at Gateshead - try as they might, neither the Heed or Southport could break the deadlock.

Boston United took the lead against Chester only to be pegged back by George Waring two minutes later - ending the scoring in that one in the process.

Shepherd Murombedzi goal was the only thing that could separate Brackley Town from visitors Alfreton Town.

And Hereford had to fight back to a 2-2 draw with Spennymoor having led earlier on through Jordan Nicholson.

Ten-man Leamington shocked Kidderminster Harriers late on.

Jack Edwards was given his marching orders ten minutes from time but Kaiman Anderson didn't read the script and nagged a leveller.
