Fleet Are On Fire But Boss Garry Wants More

Garry Hill thinks 2019 is “going to be interesting” as they started the new year the way they ended the last.

Despite missing a number of key players, Ebbsfleet won 4-0 at Braintree yesterday.

That means they have taken 20 points out of a possible 27.

Hill’s team are now three points off the play-offs and told BBC Kent after the romp in Essex that good things could be ahead for the club.

“There’s been a big turnaround in a short space of time at the club but the run is very good and very encouraging.

“It sets us up nicely for going into 2019 in a proper way. We look at the games in the second half of the season and we’ve certainly got something to play for.

“If we can keep players fit and stay clear of injuries, illnesses, it’s going to be interesting.”

Winning five of their last six National League games means Fleet are the division’s form side.

But with injury issues apparent, Hill may now makes moves to bolster his squad.
