FA Cup Upsets Aplenty With Big League Wins Earned

Some big FA Cup headlines were written as the battle for league points continued.

Some big National League names crashed out and the upsets started early as Bracknell Town defeated Dagenham & Redbridge.

It was also a hellish afternoon for Hartlepool United after Chester left with a 2-0 win, the goals came from Charlie Caton and Elliott Whitehouse.

Hereford were sensational as the Bulls sent Rochdale packing thanks to a composed Ethan Freemantle winner at Edgar Street, pictured.

FC Halifax Town also tumbled out as Marine were on the march while Dorking’s FA Cup run is dead in the water already - they went down 2-0 at Horsham.

Yeovil Town may be a National League South side these days but they managed to grab an upset as Southend United were beaten 2-0 at Huish Park.

Nine man Aveley stunned Barnet - they go again at the Hive after a thrilling 2-2 draw in Essex.

In the National League South it was a cruel return to Hampton & RB for Alan Dowson.

A late Jake Gray goal was the decisive moment as the Beavers won a thriller 4-3 at the Beveree.

Farnborough came from behind to defeat St Albans City 2-1 while Dan Roberts’ leveller pinched a point for Weymouth at home to Tonbridge Angels.
