As predicted it was a turbulent and tasty FA Cup fourth qualifying round as shock results and unexpected heroes stole the headlines.

The competition is always famed for its big moments and this time Alan Julian was the surprise story.

The Billericay Town goalkeeper scored in the closing seconds to earn a 1-1 draw with Sutton United - his manager Jamie O’Hara describing the glovesman as “incredible”.

There was a real shock a few miles down the road in south west London - Carshalton Athletic sent in-form Dagenham packing, 2-1 it ended.

Mark Beck was at the double as Harrogate Town’s fantastic form continued.

They won the Yorkshire derby with FC Halifax Town 2-1 - and now they have won five from their last six. Their victory at the Shay could be the most important yet.
