Edinburgh Aware A Lot Has Changed At Chesterfield

Justin Edinburgh is well aware Leyton Orient are taking on a very different Chesterfield this weekend.

The league leaders welcome Martin Allen’s rejuvenated Spireites looking to cling on to top spot.

It’s been quite a few weeks for the Derbyshire club - ending their club record 19 game winless run by turning over title chasing Salford City on December 9.

Then last weekend they grabbed a morale-boosting 5-1 win over Basford in the FA Trophy.

Edinburgh knows it’s not exactly the ideal time to be playing them.

“It’s going to be tough,” he said. “They are in a good moment but every game is this league is a challenge. They will pose a threat.

“It’s a match we’re looking forward to and we want to build on a good Trophy win ourselves.”

The Orient manager won’t rule out adding players in the coming weeks.

The transfer window re-opens when the New Year arrives and Edinburgh hinted at doing some business.

“We’re always looking, you’ve got to be,” said the manager, who signed just two players in the summer.

“The board and I have had conversations. We’re going to look at where we can improve.”
