Bulls Boss Won't Talk Up A Hereford Promotion Charge!

Paul Caddis says he’s been working to create a shift in mentality at Hereford - and that means his players ignoring the fact they’re now second!

The brilliant Bulls moved to within a point of National League North leaders Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

Their come-from-behind win at fellow fast-starters Curzon Ashton hoisted Hereford up the table and say expectations rise with it.

But the manager says there’s no time to rave about their improvement, or start talking up a promotion push.

He knows there’s a tough trip to Warrington Town ahead of them on Tuesday night and Caddis won’t be letting anyone get carried away.

“We’re in a good moment and we’re enjoying it," he said on the club's YouTube channel.

"We’re disappointed with some of the draws, we feel we could have turned them into wins, but we’re making constant progress. Last year we might have lost those matches.

“We have tried to re-set the mentality. It sounded negative when I walked into the changing room and said we’re moving on to Warrington now.

“If we’re successful there’s plenty of time for us to come together at the end of the season and enjoy ourselves.

“The fans have stuck by the club. They’re an incredible bunch and our aim is to put a team on that pitch that they’re proud of."
