Moors On Wright Road But Flowers Asks A Big Question!

Danny Wright knows how to win the National League title.

He did it only a couple of years ago with Cheltenham Town, after all.

But the Solihull Moors striker and his manager know there’s little in the way of pressure or expectation on their side’s shoulders.

Moors are still very much in the title hunt but know even two more wins may not be enough.

The club have been selected for live coverage as BT Sport’s title roadshow heads for the Midlands on Easter Monday.

But Wright, a 2016 winner with Gary Johnson’s Robins, says Leyton Orient will be arriving with something to lose.

“We know we had to dig deep at Bromley on Good Friday,” he told the club’s video service. “We had to soak up the pressure and we had to be professional. It looked comfortable, but we were dogged.

“It puts us in a position now for the last two games to see where we can end up.

“We’re a strong side - we know how to get results and hopefully we have got two more in us. It might be enough.

“It’s going to be a big game - there’s going to be a lot of people waching to see which way it’s going to go.

“But we’re confident we can beat Leyton Orient and get a result. Bring it on. Let’s see what we can do.”

Manager Tim Flowers is all for playing the role of underdogs.

But he wants to know if his team have got it in them to take the next step and take it to the last day of the season.

“They are two huge games for us - let’s see what we can do,” he said.

“If we would have said we would be three points behind them going into this fixture when they beat us at their place then we certainly would have taken that.

“We’ll go into it and give it our very very best - that’s what we’ve done all season.

“Our lads deserve this kind of game. Our lads have earned so much respect from National League supporters.

“Yep, well done for that, but you’ve got to crack on and improve,” the former Premier League champion said.

“There will be more pressure on Leyton Orient. They have to win but we want to show everyone what this club is all about.”
