What's In Store In The National League North On Saturday?

By Tom Scott

Saturday will herald a completely new era for one of our sides in the National League North.

For the first time since the club was formed, Hereford will line-up without club stalwart Peter Beadle in the dugout.

Despite three title wins on the bounce, the Bulls parted company with Beadle with the team sitting mid-table.

The Edgar Street side’s first game in the post-Beadle era will be against strugglers Ashton United.

Alfreton
fans will be eager to see how their side will fare without the firepower of Tom Denton.

They face a testing trip to high-fliers Chorley – who are looking for a fifth straight win at home.

Chester haven’t lost in three after a poor start and they face a Boston side who are looking to rediscover their early season form.

Dave Chadwick has reviatalised FC United of Manchester. A trip to Guiseley is next up for the Reds who will be looking to give their interim manager his first win.

How Curzon Ashton would love to replicate their away form at home. John Flanagan’s men boast the second best away form in the league – but also the joint worst home form.

They entertain a Brackley side who will be buoyed by last week’s win against Hereford.

Leamington’s early promise has faulted recently but they’ll be confident of a positive result against a Blyth Spartans who have only two wins all season.

Nuneaton Borough desperately need a result to boost their points tally and travel to Spennymoor Town on the back of their first three points of the season last week.

York City have the chance to put some pressure on the top four as they face Kidderminster Harriers.

The Minstermen have looked steady under Sam Collins but haven’t played for a fortnight.

New Bucks Head has been somewhat of a fortress for AFC Telford and Stockport County are next up to try and take points back to the North West with them.

After a first win in six, Darlington travel to Southport looking extend the Port’s wait for a home win this season.

Bradford (Park Avenue)
host Phil Parkinson’s Altrincham who have looked more than handy away from home so far this campaign.
