What Happened In The National League South On Saturday?

By Tom Scott

Wealdstone continued their assault on the National League South while two of the new boys continued to impress on Saturday afternoon.

It's been the stuff of dreams so far for Dorking Wanderers and Weymouth who have both adjusted easily to life after promotion.

Dorking made light work of Maidstone - despite trailing early on - Jason Prior, Jake Gallagher and Elliot Buchanan were all on the scoresheet to make it three wins on the spin.

Joe Iaciofano's sixth goal of the season wasn't anywhere near enough for St Albans at the Terras hit them for four to move into fifth-place.

Dulwich Hamlet were two goals to the good at the break but capitulated in the second-half against Hungerford as the Crusaders ended a six-game wait for an away win.

Havant & Waterlooville's unbeaten run came to an abrupt end at the hands of Braintree Town.

Tom Richardson netted twice for the Iron before Femi Akinwande put the gloss on a fine win.

Goals from Jay Foulston and Karrell Chambers put Chippenham two to the good at Chelmsford.

But the Clarets fought back and snatched a dramatic late point courtesy of a Shaun Jeffers strike in the last minute.

Wealdstone continued their fine start to thwart Welling - Dennon Lewis and Michael Phillips with their goals.

Hemel Hempstead had Liam Nash to thanks as they kept the pressure on after overcoming struggling Tonbridge Angels.

Jake Robinson must have thought his brace was enough for Billericay Town who led Oxford City 2-0.

But Mark Jones' men fought back through Zac McEachran and Eddie Jones to share the spoils.

Elsewhere, Slough extended their unbeaten run to eight after seeing off Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Sam Togwell got them on their way before Dan Roberts and Josh Jackman chipped in for the Rebels.

Bath led against Eastbourne Borough through Ross Stearn before Greg Luer and Elliott Romain hit back for Sports.

But Harry Hamblin netted three minutes from time to extend Lee Bradbury's wait for a first away win.

Concord Rangers dropped out of the top seven after a disappointing defeat to Dartford.

Charlie Sheringham took had the Darts in control inside five minuntes before Alex Filsher's 25th minute goal ended the scoring.

Saturday's National League South final scores:
Bath City 2-2 Eastbourne Borough
Chelmsford 3-3 Chippenham
