Number Two Flowers Takes On Solihull Moors Challenge

Tim Flowers is a manager for the first time - he takes the Solihull Moors job having helped them to survive the drop last season.

Blackburn Rovers’ Premier League winning goalkeeper steps after after Mark Yates left to join Macclesfield Town on Tuesday.

Flowers, assistant last season, will call upon former Kidderminster Harriers manager Gary Whild as part of his team.

Flowers said: “The great escape ranks as one of my biggest achievement in football and now to have the opportunity to build on everything we achieved last season is the icing on the cake.

“I would like to thank the Board for their confidence both in me and Gary Whild with whom I have an excellent working relationship

“With the pre-season games scheduled in less than three weeks there is much to do and I cannot wait to get started.”

Moors have acted quickly. They have only been without a manager for 24 followings Yates’ exit.
