Hungry Harriers Will Be Raring To Go For Avenue Replay

John Eustace says Kidderminster Harriers’ defeat to Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday won’t have any impact on Wednesday’s return game in the play-offs.

Avenue secured seventh place with a last-minute winner at Aggborough - against a much-changed Kidderminster side - and will travel down to Worcestershire again in midweek for their play-off eliminator.

The winner will travel to Brackley Town on Sunday to battle for a spot in the play-off final.

Kidderminster finished fourth and will be hoping to go a step further than last year when they were beaten by Chorley in the play-off semi-finals.

“We have got to forget about Saturday now and forget about the season – we’re going into the business end and we are looking forward to it,” Eustace told Harriers’ website.

“It’s going to be really important that we get as many fans as possible through the gates and supporting the boys.

“We’ve had a fantastic season. We’ve finished fourth in the league which is really good, and I’m pleased with the way things have gone.

“They (Bradford) are an excellent team, but we know that. We are looking forward to Wednesday now and, as I say, it is the business end now and we’re looking forward to it.”
